I hear so many students talk to me about neck pain. This is something that I can fully relate to. One of worst things you can do for yourself is to sleep on your stomach. This causes undue stressors on the cervical spine.
After you retrain yourself to not sleep on your belly finding and using a cervical pillow is another way to help your neck. There is a lot of personal preferences as far a pillows go.
It’s like T.Harv Eker says…. “Over time the uncomfortable will slowly become comfortable. “
This is a portion of an email from the other day. It’s from Joe Vitale (The Secret teacher).
I am mindful of the words I say.
It wasn’t always that way.
I believe it started some 10 years ago when I held a job in logistics.
Sales would call and say, “We have a problem!”
I’d always respond with, “There are no problems, what’s your challenge?”
It always made them pause.
What I want you to do is change some of the words
you use when you communicate to yourself. These
subtle changes can make all the difference in how
you handle issues as they arise.
– Refer to problems as “opportunities.”
– Instead of saying, “I have to” – say, “I get
– A setback is really a “challenge.”
– Tormentors are really “teachers.”
– Pain could be a “signal.”
– Instead of saying “I demand” – say, “I would
– Rather than complain, you can “request.”
– Instead of feeling like you’re struggling, you
can be on a “journey.”
– Rather than simply doing – why not “create?”
Life truly is all about perspective.
This is one thing the whiplash has taught me.
I just realized the last time I had this injury, I let it get to me emotionally. I allowed myself to be taken by it in a sense of victimization.
This time, I’m not playing the victim.
This time (some 20 years later…gawd that truly was a lifetime ago) I understand everything happens for a reason.
It would seem this post has helped me to figure out one reason.
I wonder how many more treasures I will find buried in there?
PS. It’s great to see so many familiar faces back to class. I’m so happy to have the opportunity to share time with each of you!
Sorry about the cancelled classes today. By 9:30 this morning, I had already received the calls to cancel. I did venture out and the main roads we not all that bad. However, the side streets were still very slippery. Especially with the continued freezing rain it was most likely best we all stayed at home and enjoyed more time with our families, or created space for other things.
I personally found an amazing free ebook. The 5 minute facelift. This book which you can download to your computer is an excellent little resource and shows facial exercises you can use. I’m not sure it will prevent aging, but it definitely works, I’ve tried one of the techniques already and my throat muscles are feeling things they haven’t in years. That’s only with one day of trying! You can find the book here at: http://www.edensong.com/ebookshealth.htm
ps. The owner also offers other free ebooks on health and healing. So far, they look good.
A few days ago I posted a receipe given to me by my Iridologist. It has such great healing properties. Today, while surfing the net I came across another free Recipe book. It is a great one to read as it contains recipes for living a fullfilling life. Cindy Cashman, the author has put this free ebook together so well; there’s appetizers, sauces, main dishes and desserts. Consider it like Chicken Soup for the soul….
ENJOY! (I know I’m going to.)
PS. It’s great to see so many of you back to class this session. It feels good for me too! If I haven’t said it to you yet Happy new year btw
